Portrait of the ISGV

The Institute of Saxon History and Cultural Anthropology (ISGV) was established in October 1997. The main tasks include research on Saxon’s history in its historical spaces up to present time as well as anthropological research on everyday life worlds, also in their relations between regional boundaries and cultural exchange. Furthermore, the ISGV aims to promote the analysis and documentation of the respective sources.
